仿拟词的形成有多种,最主要的途径之一是由词根、词缀或构词方式重新组合成新的词语。它的主要形成特点是:类比仿拟与逆生仿拟。对于仿拟词的汉译主要采用直译、直译加注释或意译。

There are many means of creating imitating words in modern English.The essential approach is root,affixatio n,suffixation and the other formation,but the majo r formation is analogy and back forma tion.As for the Chinese translation of imitating words,literal translation is necessary while some times both literal translation plus explanatory notes and free translation produce satisfactory effect.
