To date studies on the disaster films in China's Mainland are still being flower buds in compare with other homemade films,and therefore,it is no wonder why both the repercussions and the box office of the film1942 by Feng Xiaogang have not achieved to the expectation.This paper examines the relationship between the disaster film 1942 and 2012.It explores the difficulties and the development of tendencies towards China homemade disaster films.
