本文简要介绍了数学建模及大学生数学建模竞赛的一般知识;阐述了目前以大学生数学建模竞赛为主体的数学建模活动对学生能力与素质的要求、锻炼与培养。

This article briefly introduces the general knowledge about Mathematical Modeling and Mathematical Modeling Competition among college students.It also expounds the requirements,training and development of the students' ability and quality for Mathematical Modeling activities,of which Mathematical Modeling Competitions among college students are the main part at present.
