子君是一个由多重社会因素造成具有复杂心理特征的时代女性。她有着反封建礼教、追求个性解放的思想觉悟和果敢行动 ,又具有小资产阶级知识女性的摇摆性、脆弱性和革命不彻底性等弱点。她的悲剧是“五四”退潮期“时代女性”

Zi Jun is a woman of the times with complicated psychological features cause by multiple social factors. She has the political consciousness and takes resolute actions against feudal ethics and pursuing the emancipation of individuality. Meanwhile she has such weak points as the unsteadiness, fragility and unthoroughness in the revolution characteristic of petty bourgeois intellectual women. Her tragedy was the common tragedy of the women of the times during the recession of the May Fourth Movement.
