A Brief Discussion about the Scope and Characteristics of the Modern Chinese Localizers

汉语方位词可以用来表示方所、时间、数量这三类认知范畴 ,它可分为广义方位词与狭义方位词两大类 。

The Chinese words of localizers can be used to express three realms of cognition: space, time and number. They can be divided into localizers in a broad sense and localizers in a narrow sense, whose major features are the difference in relative closure and relative productivity and similarity in expressing meaning.
