中国共产党成立 80年来 ,对自身的性质的认识和定位 ,是一个逐步深入和与时俱进的历史过程。党只有始终坚持工人阶级先锋队性质 ,同时又能依据历史条件变化和党的建设需要 ,不断赋予党的性质以新的时代内涵 ,才能始终保持自身先进性 ,永远立于不败之地。“三个代表”重要思想是新时期对党的性质的新概括 ,是党建理论的新发展 。

The Chinese Communist Party deepens the understanding of the character and position in the society of herself continuously with the time going.To preserve her advantages and establish herself in an unassailable position,the Party must always uphold the character of playing a vanguard role in the working class,and put new intension of the times into her character according to the changes of the society and the need of the Party's construction.The great thought of 'Three Representatives' is a new conclusion of the Party's character in the new period,and a new development in the Party's construction theory.It reaches a new extent for Marxism to be used in the theory of the Party's construction.
