谈胡适的文化思想

On Hu Shi's Cultural Thought

胡适是我国现代文化思想史中的一个重要人物,他反对中国“惰性文化”,主张向世界先进文化学习,曾对中国现代文化的兴起和发展作出过重要贡献;另一方面,又由于他的资产阶级改良主义世界观的影响,使他未能在文化革命的道路上走到底,这也是胡适本人的一个悲剧。

Hu Shi was an important person in modem Chinese history of culture and thought. He preferred advanced culture overseas to China' s 'Inertia Culture' . He contributed much to the starting and development of modern Chinese culture. On the other hand, because of the influence of bourgeois reformism on him, he didn' t carry the cultural revolution through to the end,which became his own tragedy as well.
