本文详细论述了毛泽东的秘书田家英同志一生爱书、买书、藏书、用书成为一大藏书家的鲜为人知的事迹 ,并总结了他藏书的四大特点 :即入藏的马恩列斯毛泽东著作系统完备 ;大量的工具书和历史书籍 ;中国文学作品丰富齐全 ;明清文人学者和书画名家的墨迹珍品在国内外为独步。田家英在藏书管理、分类编目、资料分析整理利用等方面均积累了丰富的经验 ,足为当今图书馆工作者学习借鉴 ,更上层楼。

This article details the less known stories of Tian Jiaying one of the secretaries of Chairman Mao Zedong in his loving buying, collecting and using books and finally becoming a bibliophile.Four features of his collection of books are outlined:complete system of the works of Carl Marx,Friedrich Engels,Nikolai Lenin,Joseph Stalin and Mao Zedong large volumes of reference and history books,abundant and complete works of Chinese literature and prominent collection of the rare calligraphy and paintings of the famous scholars and painters of Ming and Qing Dynasty.Tian Jiaying accumulated abundant knowledge in library management,classification and catalogue,data analysis and application etc,which has set a good example for today's librarians in study and advancement.
