The distributing characterastics of the polymetallic nodule's coverage in China Pioneer Area

利用深拖系统多金属结核光学图像所计算的覆盖率数据 ,在对东太平洋中国开辟区东、西区多金属结核覆盖率大小分相的基础上 ,研究了各相覆盖率的连续分布总长度、平均连续分布长度和相与相之间的过渡变化 ,表明中国多金属结核开辟区东区与西区之间结核覆盖率连续分布特征存在明显的差别 .

Polymetallic nodule's coverage data are used, which are calculated from the deep tow system's optical image of the nodules, and based on the phase splitting of the polymetallic nodule's coverage in the east and west zones of China Pioneer Area in the East Pacific, the coverage's total length and average length which have continuous distribution of each phase, and the transitional changes between phase and phase are studied. The results show that the continuous distributing characteristics of the nodule's coverage between the east and west zones in China Pioneer Area of polymetallic nodules have obvious discrepancy.
