On the Family Trait and Family Learning of Clan Yu in Kuaiji Perfectrue in the Six Dynasties Period

六朝世族门第之长盛不衰,与其家风、家学有关。会稽虞氏兴自东汉,历六朝之世,绵延至隋、唐,数百年间代有才人,成为江东著姓。虞氏门风尚忠义,重事功,讲孝友。在学术上以儒学为根本,兼容并包,南朝后期渐重文学艺术。

Since Eathern Han Dynasties, Clan Yu in Kuaiji Perfecture had always stood As a glorious family in aristocratic circles through Six Dynasties ornearlyyeares. This is mainly due to its clan culture. Clan Yu advocated righteousness and emphasized societal achievement.In culture it took Confucianism as its base which embracing the other doctrines, and especially emphasied literature. In this way, talented descendants sprang up by generations and the clan grew prosperous.
