摘要
优选论是新近发展起来的生成语言学的一个分，它为语言分析提供的新视角对生成语言学中一些传统的理论提出了严重挑战，本文拟从理论目标，研究思路，理论框架和分析方法等方面对生成语言学中传统的原则参数模型和优选论进行比较， 从中可以看出优选论对传统的生成语言学思想有哪些继承和突破。
As a newly developed branch of generative linguistics, optimality theory (OT) provides a new angle for language analysis and gives a serious challenge to the traditional theory. The present paper is to make a comparison between the traditional principle parameter (PP) model and OT in their theoretical goals, research patterns, theory frames and analytic methods,thus we can bring to light what OT has inherited from PP and what breakthrough it has made.
