摘要 Carved into the one-kilometer-long side of a cliff, the Yungang Grottoes are located at the southern foothills of the Wuzhou Mountains approximately sixteen kilometers west of Datong City, Shanxi Province. Excavation of the caves at Yungang began in 453 A.D. in theNorthern Wei Dynasty.
