摘要
目的 :通过癌细胞核仁组成区 (NORs)蛋白的图像定量分析 ,评价鼻咽泡状核细胞癌的癌细胞群体增生能力。方法 :对18例鼻咽泡状核细胞癌石蜡切片进行银染 (AgNORs) ,应用CAS2 0 0图像分析仪分别测定泡状核癌细胞群体和梭形癌细胞群体的AgNORs参数值 ,并作比较分析。结果 :与梭形癌细胞群体相比 ,泡状核癌细胞群体具有较高的每核AgNOR计数、每核AgNOR面积和平均AgNOR面积 /粒 ,差异均有显著性 ,而且与泡状核癌细胞群体的增殖细胞核抗原 (PCNA)阳性率明显高于梭形癌细胞群体的前研究结果相一致。结论 :泡状核癌细胞群体的增生能力明显高于梭形癌细胞群体 ,增生能力各异的癌细胞群体存在于同一组织类型鼻咽癌中 ,反映了鼻咽癌细胞群体增殖能力的异质性 。
Purpose To evaluate the proliferative activity of cancer cell populations in vesicular nucleus cell carcinoma of the nasopharynx by the quantitative assessment of argyrophilic nucleolar organizer region(AgNORs). Methods Silver-staining of NORs was applied to 18 paraffin sections of vesicular nucleus cell carcinoma containing vesicular nuclei-shaped cancer cell population(VNCC) and spindle-shaped cancer cell population(SSCC). Various parameters of AgNORs of these two cell populations were analyzed by image cytometric analysis. Results The mean AgNOR count per nucleus, mean AgNOR area per nucleus and AgNOR area/count ratio of VNCC were statistically significantly higher than those of SSCC, which was concordant with the result that the positive rate of the proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) was higher in VNCC than in SSCC. Conclusions The different cancer cell populations with their distinct morphological characteristics in vesicular nucleus cell carcinoma have different proliferative activity. The potential heterogeneity of cell proliferation in cancer cell populations in the same histological type of nasophargngeal carcinoma may reflect variations of sensitivity to radiotherapy and prognosis of NPC.
