The inhibition of different cell components, i.e. culture filtrates (CL), partly purified exocellular proteins (EPS), and lipopolysaccharides (LPS), of 4 antagonistic bacteria strains were tested by growth inhibition method against Rhizoctonia solani. Preliminary results showed that the chief inhibitory factor of strain S 18 is LPS and that of strain S 11 is EPS. However, the inhibitory factors of strains S 14 and S 13 are not known yet.
