The Literature Review on the Royal Clan Group in the Northern Wei Dynasty

北魏宗室是特殊的社会阶层,其上限可追溯至始祖神元皇帝拓跋力微。出身天潢贵胄的他们构成统治集团的骨干,对北魏社会的发展和政局走势产生深刻影响。北魏宗室有"虏姓"头号高门之尊,又是中古北方内徙胡人家族的典型代表。北魏宗室阶层以极高的学术价值备受学界瞩目,经过前辈学者的不懈耕耘,业已取得丰硕成果。然而在某些具体问题和总体特征的把握上尚有欠缺,亟需努力弥补。

The extention of the royal clan group of the Northern Wei dynasty was all the descen- dants of the Tuoba ancestor the Shenyuan emperor Liwei. They were the basement of the government and the centre of the ruling class who played an important role in politics and society field. As the high- est level family of the Luxing, the royal clan was also the typical representative of the immigration bar- barian family in the middle-age. Because of the great academic value, the royal clan attracted much at- tention and yielded substantial results. But some specific problems and overall features were neglected, which needed to change.
