摘要
《红楼梦》的翻译研究已经涉及到许多方面，本文选取的龙文化翻译研究这个不太受人关注的方面，在跨文化的视角下进行两个译本的述评。这两个译本也是公认的经典，分别是杨宪益和霍克斯的译本，具有标尺性的作用。通过本文，期待能为跨文化翻译中有关龙文化的翻译提供启示和帮助。
Hong Lou Meng as one of the representatives of Chinese traditional culture must be val-ued. It is translators＇ goal that Chinese traditional culture be spreaded all over the world and letothers have a look at unique Chinese traditional culture since a long time ago. Nowadays, there aremany translation versions of Hong Lou Meng, they have promoted and played an active role in com-munications among different cultures. Many cultural aspects of Hong Lou Meng have been studied inthe past, so this essay chooses to study dragon culture, which is not that much studied. The studywill be carried out from cross-cultural perspective on the basis of two famous English versions. Theaim of this essay is to find out how to translate dragon culture in Chinese traditional works.
