高职院校航海类专业英语口语教学的问题及对策

Challenges and Countermeasures on Oral English Teaching of Students in Shipping Majors of Higher Vocational Colleges

航海类行业组织及相关的企业单位对从事该行业人员的英语口语交流水平要求日益提高,而培养此类人才的高职院校面临着学生基础较薄弱、师资结构不合理和现有教学模式过于传统这三方面的挑战。为此,高职院校应通过设置招生门槛、优化师资结构与改变传统教学模式这三个方面来提高高职航海类学生英语口语能力。

The requirement of navigational students＇ oral English competence has become increasingly high. However,there are some challenges for oral English teaching in Maritime Major in higher vocational colleges,including students＇ weak foundation,unreasonable faculty structure,and over-traditional teaching model. Therefore,higher vocational colleges should improve navigational students＇ oral English competence by means of establishing admission standards,optimizing staff structure and changing teaching model.
