The development of English teachers in higher vocational colleges can promote the fostering of highly qualified talents in English.English teachers in higher vocational colleges must strengthen their competence in teaching and English,enrich their knowledge and experience in a certain industry relevant to students＇ majors,as well as develop cultural awareness. To achieve these goals,English teachers should study and reflect on their teaching,improve their English with daily language accumulation,go to businesses to acquire industry-related knowledge and experience,and develop cultural awareness under cultural edification.
