After construction of Tang Dynasty, to absorb knowledge from China, Japan had sent envoys to study politics, economy, culture and religion by more than 10 times. Not all the sea routes had been wellrecorded. What we know is that Ningbo was the most frequently used port by Japanese envoys. There are different views towards whether Japan envoys arrived at Ningbo or whether they went to Japan from Ningbo. And this article makes detailed and historical research about the truth.
