王贞白是唐末著名诗人,早年曾两中进士,并曾游历边塞,创作了不少脍炙人口的诗篇。他的诗歌在晚唐颇具特色,题材宽广、诗境疏朗开阔、旨趣深远,情感平和中正却不失慷慨之气,具有较高的艺术价值。

Wang Zhenbai was a well - know poet in late Tang Dynasty. At young age, he has been awarded Scholar twice （known as ＂Jinshi＂ in Chinese） in the highest imperial examinations. He made lots of trips far to the frontiers of the country and wrote many poems which were highly appreciated by the folk people. His poems were distinguished by using various topics and picturesque description to refer to the truth. Although his poems usually displayed a peaceful sentiment to the world, the poets was also admired by the vehement emotion revealed in the texts. Therefore, his poems were regarded as works with high artistic value.
