The C- E Vocabulary Translation Strategy of Chinese News Leads from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence

功能对等视域中的新闻导语的词汇英译策略应该以归化策略为主,异化策略为辅:通过使用归化策略,可以将词汇译得更加符合英语的表达习惯;运用异化策略,可以保留汉语中的语言文化特点。二者有机结合,尽最大限度地达到奈达翻译观中的"最贴切最自然的对等",从而促进信息的交流与传播。

From the perspective of Nida＇ s functional equivalence, the author states that the naturalization should be taken as the main strategy while foreignization is regarded as the supplement in the C - E vocabulary translation strategy of Chinese news leads. Nat- uralization makes the translation sound more like colloquial English and the foreiguization can preserve the Chinese characteristics in language and culture. Together they are combined to achieve ＂the closest natural equivalence＂ of Nida＇ s philosophy of translation, which can broaden the scope of Chinese language and culture.
