摘要
清末民初形成期海派小说创作数目丰盈,其创作实绩代言了中国近代小说的基本风貌和整体成就。这批小说以通俗为主调,然而其叙事肌理中亦植入了较芜杂的现代性价值诉求。形成期海派小说规范了现代都市文学生产的基本要素,开启了中国文学现代性与都市的亲缘关系,确立了新文学批判国民性、城乡对立、都市罪恶等基本主题,以其丰富的读者经验和庞大的读者基础启发了现代文学阶段的文学"大众化"运动,并为"五四"小说提供了较丰富的叙事经验。
In the late Qing and early Min Dynasties, innumerable Shanghai Style of formative period popped out, representing the basic style and overall achievements of modern Chinese fiction. Although popularity is the key tune of those representative fictions, its narrative texture is implanted in a relatively unorganized modern value demand. It defined the basic elements of modern urban literary production, started a kinship between Chinese literary modernity and metropolis and established basic topics as critique of national character, urban and rural opposition, the sin of city for new literature. With its rich experience of readers and huge reader base, it inspired the "Popularity" movement for modern literature and provided a richer narrative experience for the May 4th Movement fiction.
