A Dynamic Research of the Shan People's Retention of Their Own Rituals in the Context of Globalization:the Shans in Pai-Mae Hong Son County as a case

文章主要是关于全球化进程中掸族维持宗教仪式信仰的动态研究,研究个案选取的是泰国夜丰颂府拜县的掸族。由于受到全球化的影响,自由贸易盛行,农业、旅游业、服务业等领域对资金的需求不断增加,外地人大力向该地投资,大量游客和外籍劳工纷纷涌入,这些都对当地的掸族社会产生了很大影响,使得当地掸族的生活方式发生了一定程度的变化。他们的传统农业社会开始走向多元化社会,他们的仪式信仰也受到了直接的影响。他们一方面仍然致力于维持原有的一些习俗,另一方面也开始形成了一些新的习俗。

The article takes the case of the Shan people in Pai-Mae Hong Son county of Thailand and conducts a dynamic study of about the Shan people＇s retention of their own rituals in the context of globalization. Due to the globalization, free trade booming, and increasing capital demand in agriculture, tourism and service sector, outsiders＇ investment to this region, and large influxes of tourists and foreign workers, the Shan people society is greatly affected, and to a certain extent, local Shan people＇s way of life has also changed. Their traditional agricultural society starts to shift into a diversified society, and their religious rituals is influenced directly.On on hand,they retain some of their original customs and habits, on the other handt, some new folkways also take shape.
