The study on the characteristics of Western Garden evolution under the history of world civilization

园林是社会文化重要的物质性体现,园林风格的演变反映了不同社会背景下文明的变迁.本文从西方文明发展的角度对西方园林演变历程进行探索,研究分析了从古希腊古罗马的柱廊园到现代城市公园,西方园林在历史演变过程中的不同历史时期的特征体现,及其与历代社会变革的内在联系.

Garden is an important material embodiment of social culture,and the evolution of garden style shows the change of civilization under different social background. The Western Garden evolution was investigated from the perspective of the development of western civilization. The characteristics of Western Garden in different historical periods were analyzed,from the colonnades in the ancient Greek and Roman time to the city parks in modern age,together with discussion of the intrinsic links between Western Garden and social changes in previous generations.
