The Concept of “Fold” in Architecture—Deleuze and Folding Architecture

20世纪90年代褶皱建筑创生,其重要理据之一就是德勒兹的褶子概念.虽然在建筑话语体系中经历了挪用和变形,但是从系谱学的角度来看,褶皱最初的动能,依然根植于德勒兹对"褶子"的复杂论述之中.对于褶皱概念的深入分析和阐释,能够更为显白地说明褶皱建筑的特点,以及褶皱建筑从这个概念中所吸取到的观念和操作方面的给养,从而得以揭示褶皱建筑的精神旨趣和美学特征.

In 1990’s, folding architecture was found based on Deleuze＆#39;s concept of “fold”. Although, diverted and transformed in architecture discourse system, the first function of “fold” also rooted in the complicated discussion on “fold” by Deleuze from the point of view of genealogy. Through the deep analysis and interpretation on “fold”, the characteristics of folding architecture are presented distinctly. The idea and inspiration obtained from the concept of “fold” shows folding architecture’s spiritual intention and aesthetic features.
