The writing thought of "spontaneous writing to express one's mind and inspiration well" put forward by three Su's (Namely, Su Shi, Su Xun and Su Zhe) was to eliminate the euphuism of "the highly elaborate and artificial style of writing " in the early Northern Song Dynasty. Most importantly, this idea ex- pressed the value of the works for the sake of "spontaneous writing of one's mind": it was the self expres- sion of the author's suppressed mind and spirit that flashed upon the mind frequently. For the writer, to pro- duce the works of "spontaneous writing of one's mind", he or she had to copy his or her own familiar life. The article proves the correctness of the "spontaneous writing to express one's mind and inspiration well" by citing many instances of creation from the masters in literature such as Ba Jin and Mao Dun.
