Origin of Fanqie Slang in Baotou Dialect

反切词语是包头方言以至晋陕方言中的一种语言现象,与反切的形成有直接的关系。其形成有两个阶段,即秦汉以前由急读缓读形成的不自觉反切阶段和汉末魏晋南北朝的自觉反切阶段。魏晋南北朝阶段风靡全社会的反语活动,是反切词语形成的重要基础,促进了反切词语的成熟和发展,反切词语从此在民间以及文学作品和历史典籍中代代相传。

Fanqie words and phrases is a Baotou- and- Jin- San- dialect linguistic phenomenon related directly with Fanqie formation,including unconscious Fanqie from Ji yan and Xu yan before Qin and Han,and conscious Fanqie in late Han Wei- Jin,Southern Northern Dynasties during which Fanqie word game and word- invention activities swept the whole society and lain the foundation for creating fanqie. Therefore Fanqie slang was promoted to perfect,develop and inherited in folk adage,ligature works and historic records.
