Engineering change is an important content in the process of cost management of construction project, which is one of the important factors of construction project cost control. Strengthening the management of engineering design changes and making the design change of the work routing, can effectively control construction cost, guarantee the construction quality of project, and further achieve the ultimate goal of project management. This paper explains the reasons of the alteration of engineering design and puts forward a series of corresponding control measures according to the corresponding reasons from the meanings of the engineering design change.
