论汉语修辞之美

On the Rhetorical Beauty of the Chinese Language

论文从客观的汉语修辞实际出发,掇取典型丰富的语言实例作为依据,在真、善的内容和适切题旨情景的前提下,借鉴艺术的形式美法则,遵循辩证思维的方法,探求汉语修辞之美。而这种"美"乃是广义之美,既包括运用各种修辞手段而造成的生动、形象、绮丽之美,也包括正确、准确地遣词造句布局谋篇而造成的平实、畅达、朴素之美。论文重点论述了汉语修辞的整齐美与参差美,明晰美与朦胧美,平实美与夸饰美,精炼美与繁丰美,具象美与抽象美,袭常美与创新美,调和美与对比美,色彩美,音乐美,情趣美以及多样统一的和谐美,从而得出"修辞学即美辞学"的结论,希望给一般的文字工作者乃至文艺工作者以一定的启示。

This paper explores the rhetorical beauty of the Chinese language on the basis of ample language data and from the perspective of truth, goodness and relevance. It draws on the laws of formal beauty in art and employs methods of dialectical thinking. But ＂beauty＂ is used in the broad sense of the word to include not only vividness and magnificence of imagery brought about by the use of diverse rhetorical devices but also plainness, expressiveness and simplicity made possible by dic- tion, syntax and overall structure. The paper mainly discusses rhetorical beauties of the Chinese language such as regularity and irregularity, lucidity and opaqueness, plainness and ornamentation, conciseness and profuseness, concreteness and ab- straction, continuity and innovation, compromise and contrast, visualit＇y and musicality, delightfulness and unity in variety. A conclusion is reached at the end of this exploration that ＂rhetoric is beauty in phraseology＂ and it is hoped that this conclu- sion will provide inspiration of some sort for writers and artists.
