独立还是延续:当代都市家庭代际关系中的矛盾心境

Independence vs.Maintenance:the Ambivalence in the Family Intergenerational Relationship in Comtemporary Urban Families

采用定量和定性相结合的方式,从代际结构团结和规范团结两个维度,观察和分析广州家庭代际关系中的矛盾心境及其行为。发现受个体化进程和结构因素的影响,处在特定家庭代际关系中的个体摇摆于独立与延续之间;人们努力在独立和责任之间寻求一种完美的平衡;受不同个体和结构因素的制约,在应对这些矛盾心境时采取不同的行为策略,呈现出不同的代际关系模式。最终,无论是独立还是延续,抑或是在两者间寻求一种中间状态,取决于个体与结构之间的协商与博弈。

Taking an approach combining quantitative and qualitative analysis, the paper probed into the ambivalence and the corresponding behaviors in the family intergenerational relationship in Guangzhou from two dimensions of intergenerational solidarity-structural solidarity and regulation solidarity. Influenced by the process of individualization and structural factors, the individual in a certain family intergenerational relationship is found to waver between independence and maintenance. People try to seek a perfect balance between independence and responsibility. Different individuals adopt different behavior strategies to tackle the ambivalence, which reveals different patterns of intergenerational relationship. Finally, independence or maintenance or an intermediate state between them is the result of negotiation and compromise between the individual and the structure.
