Exploring the Integrated English Teaching and the Development of Critical Thinking Ability for English Majors

摘要 "思辨缺席"是英语专业面临的难题。基于问卷调查和专题访谈,从教与学的角度阐释综合英语教学存在的问题,认为可在实践中构建主动批判性阅读、口语交际、学术论文写作"三课一体"的思辨能力训练课型,来促进学生思辨能力的发展。 The absence of critical thinking ability is a puzzle confronted with English Majors. Based on the questionnaire among students and interviews with teachers, this paper intends to clarify the problems existed in the Integrated English Teaching from the perspectives of teaching and learning, holding that it is feasible to promote students' critical thinking ability in practice by developing a " three-in-one" training class pattern which combines the positively critical thinking, oral communication and academic thesis writing.
