文化是大学的根基和血脉,文化追求是大学的本真特质和独有性格。转型社会带来的社会文化冲击,使得国内一些大学偏离了文化的价值追求,呈现出庸俗化、功利化、权贵化和娱乐化的特点。大学要为未来负责,就应该守护大学涵养人性、砥砺品性、引领思想和价值导向的文化使命,同时,也应顺应时代需求和促进社会进步,正确处理好传统性与现代性、民族性与国际性、守护性与超越性等关系。

The pursuit of culture is the truly original characteristic of social cultural impact brought about by the social transformation deviates some domestic universities from pursuing their cultural values. Instead, they present the characteristics of vulgarity, utilitarianism, bureaucratic privilege and amusement. To be responsible for the future, a university must manage to preserve humanities and its cultural mission, which provides guidance for ideological and cultural development. At the same time, a responsible university should also meet the demands of the age and society and advance social progress, treating correctly the relationship between tradition and modernity, nationalism and internationalism, preservation and transformation.
