浅谈博物馆英语讲解

A Brief Discussion on English Interpretation for Museum

近年来,中外文化交流日益频繁,越来越多的外国游客来到中国,走入博物馆参观。而英语是世界上最被广泛使用的第二语言,因此英语讲解在纪念馆与外国游客之间起到了重要的桥梁作用,是向世界展示中国悠久的历史和文化的形象窗口。然而,当前博物馆的英语讲解仍不能满足外宾参观的需求,在数量、质量和深度上皆有待提高。需要通过培养英语讲解人才、加强考核培训等方式来提高博物馆的英语讲解水平。

In recent years, with Chinese-foreign cultural ex-changes becoming increasingly frequent, more and more foreign tourists come to China and visit museums, while English is the most widely used second language in the world, so English inter-pretation serves as a bridge between memorial halls and foreign tourists, as well as a window showing the world the long history and culture of China. However, the current English interpretation for museum can not meet the requirements of foreign guests＇ vis-its, needing improvements in quantity, quality and depth. We need to improve the level of English interpretation for museum through cultivating talents of English interpretation and enhanc-ing evaluation and training.
