Advances in TCM treatment of disorders of lipid metabolism

中医认为,血脂代谢紊乱的病因主要归于饮食失宜、过逸少劳、情志失调、肾精亏虚、肾阳虚弱;病机关键在于脾失运化、肝失疏泄、肾失气化;病理产物是内湿、痰浊、瘀血。中医药采用辨证论治、中成药及协定处方、单味中药及提取有效成分治疗,能有效改善血浆中胆固醇(TC)、低密度脂蛋白胆固醇(LDL-C)、三酰甘油(TG)及高密度脂蛋白胆固醇(HDL-C)水平。

According to TCM, the causes of lipid metabolism disorder are improper diet, excessive idleness, imbalanced emotion, the insufficiency of kidney essence and Yang. The key of pathological mechanism is that the failure of the spleen in transportation, the failure of the liver in controlling conveyance and dispersion and the failure of the kidney in Qi transformation. Dampness, sputum and blood stasis are the pathological products. We have done constant research and exploration about this disease based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. Progress has been made in treatment based on syndrome differentiation, Chinese patent medicine, cipher prescription, single Chinese herb medicine and their active ingredients, which can effectively improve the levels of TC, LDL-C, TG and HDL-C.
