Discussion on the design of a kind of engine room monitoring and alarm system in this paper, the system has the following characteristics： （1） System modularization, convenient for engineering maintenance;（2） Reduce the usage of the cable in alarm and monitoring system, reduce the construction man-hour cost;（3）System scalability, increase the monitoring point conveniently according to the requirements;（4）Scattered failure risk, single point failure does not affect the operation of the system;（5）Redundant design, improve system reliability.
