A Symmetric Discontinuous Finite Volume Element Scheme for a Second-order Hyperbolic Problem

本文探讨二阶双曲方程初边值问题的有限体元法,给出了对称的半离散格式,以此为基础,给出了一个对称的全离散格式,并分别对半离散近似和全离散近似得出了先验误差,最后给出了数值算例。

The finite volume element method was used to approximate second order hyperbolic problem. A sym- metric semi- discrete scheme and a symmetric semi -discrete scheme were developed. And the corresponding error estimates were obtained. To test the theoretical results, a numerical example was also presented.
