摘要
In late 1990s,China was actively prepared to join the World Trade Organization(WTO).As was the same with other manufacturing companies,there was no self-management import and export right for textile and garment enterprises and they were also limited to quota restriction.Therefore,textile export had to rely only on a few foreign trade companies.However,with the accelerated pace to WTO,the quota system was phased out accordingly for the textile industry that turned out with both opportunity and challenge:the opportunity of participating in international competition and the challenge of whether the products suit for global market.
