On the Visual Image of Zhangzhou City

城市视觉形象是一个城市文化内涵与精神面貌的体现,城市视觉形象设计正是希望通过有针对性、策略性的研究与设计方法,对城市进行解读,再赋予新的定位与主张。通过探讨研究国内外城市视觉形象设计对一座城市的意义与重要性,掌握城市视觉形象设计的核心战略,并以福建漳州为例提出一些城市视觉形象构建的可行方案。

The visual image of a city is the reflection of its cultural connotation and spiritual outlook. The design for a city＇s vi-sual image aims to make a full understanding of the city through a series of targeted and politic research, and give a new expres-sion to its position. The purpose of this paper is to discuss native and foreign visual image design of cities, to grasp the key tech-niques and hereby to propose some available plans for visual image of cities by taking Zhangzhou as an example.
