章句之学不可忽——朱子《论语集注》“可与共学”章的章句问题

Text-Criticism Should Not Be Neglected: A Study of Textual Problems of Zhu Xi's Analysis of the Chapter of “Co-study” in his Commentary on The Analects

清儒对《四书章句集注》一书时有驳难,其有关朱子《论语集注》"可与共学"章存在章句之失的说法,诸多证据材料都存在问题。论者关于朱子《论语集注》"可与共学"章"分章不当"的批评,并不能举出有力的文献证据,其论证陷入自我循环。而清儒翟灏《论语考异》所列文献貌似甚众,但证据力着实有限,据此很难形成定论说朱子《论语集注》"可与共学"章存在"经文倒误"问题。

The research of the scholars in the Qing Dynasty on Zhu Xi＇s analysis of the chapter of ＂Co-study＂ in his Commentary on The Analects, claims that Zhu Xi＇s work is flawed with errors of misinterpretations of The Analects and misdivision of chapters. Those scholars who thought Zhu Xi made a mistake on the division of chapters could not provide sufficient textual evidence, and that their arguments suffer from circularity. Through careful examinations of the literature discovered by Zhai Hao, a scholar of the Qing Dynasty, this study concludes that though Zhai＇s evidence seems huge in quantity, but as logical and powerful evidence it is weak, and that it is premature to assert that there are some disorders existing in Zhu Xi＇s analysis of the chapter of ＂Co-study＂ in his Commentary on The Analects.
