孔子学院作为中国传统文化西渐的载体,与清末教会书院的发展异曲同工。在深入挖掘清末教会书院的发展历史及运作特点的基础上,提取其对孔子学院建设有益的方面,分析孔子学院当前建设的困难与可以改进的方向,给予其在海外传播中华传统文化的启示。

As the communicator of “the China culture communication to the west”, the development of the Confucius institute is quite similar to the church academy in late Qing Dynasty. The paper extracts something useful to the construction of the Confucius institute after digging into the development history of the church academy and its characteristics. Then the paper analyses the difficulties existing in current construction of the Confucius institute, as well as the direction it can be improved, in order to enlighten its current and future communication of Chinese traditional culture.
