When a sport organization encounters severe financial difficulties, it may be left with only one choice： file for bankruptcy protection. This Article employs case study, literature consultation,comparative and logic analysis, presenting a factual background of football club financial difficulty in England. It explores the bankruptcy systems of the England and the pertinent sections of the Insolvency Act. Meanwhile, it discusses the sections of each statute that apply to English football club bankruptcies as it was seen through the representative cases. Finally, This study discusses Non - Statutory issues in Football Insolvency Cases such as Football Creditor Rule, League - imposed Sanctions, Club＇s Golden Share. This study seeks to serve two purposes. Firstly, it endeavors to provide insights into the English bankruptcy law and their treatment of Football Club. Secondly, it intends to present a general and broad description of English Football Club bankruptcies for non - bankruptcy practitioners with basic knowledge of the English Bankruptcy System.
