Beyond the Score: Evaluating Shanghai's Education Equity Based on PISA Data

PISA在本质上是一项政策评价工具,其超越了分数和排名,为在国际视野中检视教育政策及其实践提供了参照维度和标杆。借助PISA提供的教育公平测度,审思上海作为建设中的国际大都市的基础教育发展问题,发现并缩小校际教育质量差距,提升学校体系对不同社会群体的包容性和国际文化兼容性,将有助于进一步提升上海基础教育的整体实力和国际竞争力。

As a policy evaluation tool, PISA aims beyond the number and ranking to provide international benchmarks for identifying effective education policies and practices. This paper employed PISA＇s yardsticks of equity to examine Shanghai＂ school systems. To back up Shanghai＇s future, education policy should emphasize bridging the achievement gap between schools, fostering inclusive development for all students from different socio-economic status, constructing a more internationalized school system.
