Deconstruction and Subversion——on the Characteristics of Kafka's Literary Creation from his Novelettes and Short Stories

作为象征主义集大成者、表现主义先锋及存在主义引航者,卡夫卡"西方现代文学先驱"之誉受之无愧。他不仅丰富和深化了文学形象,而且还解构、颠覆传统叙事美学,创新、重构了文学本质与意义。基于此,文章以其中短篇小说为蓝本,从叙事、人物、主题三方面出发,深入发掘其独树一帜的创作特色。

As a combination figure of symbolism, forerunner of expressionism, navigator of existentialism, Kafka indeed deserves the title of ＂pioneer in modern West Literature~. He not only enriches and deepens literary images, but also deconstructs and subverts traditional narrative aesthetics. What＇s more, he creates and reconstructs the essence and meaning of modern West literature. Based on this point, this article aims at exploring the unique characteristics of Kafka＇s literary creations in the three aspects of narration, characterization, and themes of his novelettes and short stories.
