Multimodal Teaching of ‘An Introduction to British and American Culture'Based on the Theory of Constructivism

英美国家概况在英语文化知识传输方面起着举足轻重的作用,但其内容庞杂、抽象、晦涩难懂,传统的以教师讲授、学生接受为主的课堂教学模式和方法不能达到课程设置的教学目标。基于建构主义理论的多模态化教学模式以多媒体及网络资源等现代化教学资源为平台,借助声音、图像、动作等形式多方面、多角度刺激学生的多种感官,引起学生共鸣,激发学生学习的主动性。

‘An Introduction to British and American Culture＇plays an important role in the transfer of English cultural knowledge. However,the traditional teaching mode and method which prioritizes the role of a teacher cannot achieve the teaching goal of the curriculum because the contents of the course are multifarious,abstract and difficult to understand. Meanwhile,multimodal teaching mode based on the theory of constructivism takes multimedia and network resources as the platform,with the help of sound,image,movement,video and other forms to stimulate the students＇ various senses,strike a chord with them and arouse their learning initiatives.
