民间私人公益图书馆是深深扎根于基层的、让民众获得普遍均等且无差别服务的重要场所,它构建出了具有积极意义且多样化的文化服务体系和基层公共空间。民间私人公益图书馆的基本特点是追求服务质量和服务实效、具有较强的社交网络构建能力、能够真正地融入当地社会及提升民众素养;它在从资源供给到环境营造、从单兵作战到协同创新及从普遍服务末端走向源头方面给了我国图书馆事业的发展以启示;它在日后的发展中应注重改善人员及与社会接轨问题。

Private public libraries in folk are important places that are deeply rooted in the grass-root, let people get general and equal and indiscriminate services, they have built the diversified culture service system and the grass-root public space that have the positive significance. Basic characteristics of private public libraries in folk are as follows： pursuing the service quality and the service aging, having the strong ability of the social network construction, really merging into the local society and improving the public literacy; from the source supply to the environment building, from the individual soldier to the collaborative innovation, from the end to the source of universal services, it give enlightenment to the development of the librarianship in China; it should pay attention to problems of improving the personnel and the jointing track with the society in the future development.
