2009年新疆伊吾县托背梁墓地发掘简报

A Preliminary Report on the 2009 Excavation of the Tuobeiliang Cemetery in Yiwu County, Xinjiang

2009年新疆文物考古研究所、哈密地区文物局以及西北大学文化遗产保护与考古学研究中心联合组成的考古队抢救性发掘了新疆伊吾县城西南托背梁村北一处古代游牧文化墓地。共清理墓葬16座、房址1座、祭祀遗迹3处。根据墓葬和出土遗物形制特征的初步分析,该墓地属于早期铁器时代。该墓地的发现与发掘,为探讨东天山北麓古代游牧民族考古学文化面貌及其分布等问题都具有重要意义。

In 2009, the Xinjiang Automomous Region of Chltuml Relics and Archaeology, Harni Cultural Relics Bu reau, and the School of Cultural Heritage at Northwest University jointly undertook a rescue excavation of an ancient pastoml-normdic cemetery at the Tuobeiliang village in Ynvu county, Xinjiang. A total of 16 burials, 1 house foundation, and 3 sacrificial features have been exposed. Based upon the shape of burials and typology of remains, our prelirrfinary analysis shows the cemetery dates to the Early Iron Age. The discovery and excavation of the cemetery provide an important piece of evidence for the research on issues like the archaeological cultures of pastoral-nomadic ethnic groups in the northern foot- hills of the Tian Shan and their distributions.
