“Le Morte D＇ Arthur” is the classic medieval chivalric literature. Most critics emphasize the aspect that it is a coexistence of secularity and religiousness. A close reading may tell that it is in nature a negation and criticism to the knights＇ secular pursuit from the perspective of Christian morality while the real goal is to confirm and advocate religion.
