中国英语学习者书面语语料库中GET词汇型式研究

Study on the Patterns of Verb GET in Written Corpus by Chinese EFL Learners

文章采用对比分析的方法对中国学生英语笔语语料库(WECCL 2.0)和鲁汶本族语作文语料库(LOCNESS)中GET的词汇型式进行了对比研究。研究发现:中国学生使用GET的语义分布与本族语者趋同,总体上,中国英语学习者在GET词汇型式的使用中存在着过多使用(overuse)的现象,与本族语者的使用情况相比存在显著差异。在不同GET语义词汇型式使用中,有些是过度使用,也有使用不足的情况,研究表明:中国英语学习者对GET一词的用法掌握得还不到位,对英语动词汇习得广度和深度不够。研究结果对中国学生的英语词汇学习和英语词汇教学具有一定的借鉴意义。

Based on the written English Corpus of Chinese Learners and LOCNESS, this paper investigates the pattern behavior of the verb GET. The investigation shows that Chinese learners and English learners tend to choose the same semantic features when they use verb GET. However, Chinese learners have an obvious tendency of overusing GET on the whole. In the specific patterns, Chinese learners also underuse and overuse some of patterns in their writing. This proves Chinese learners don＇ t grasp the usage of the verb GET completely. The findings certify the fact that Chinese learners do not learn the words as equally as English learners. This research gives favor to the lexical learning and teaching.
