Objective:To establish the animal model of open chest deep hypothermia low flow (DHLF) and deep hypothermic circulatory arrest(DHCA) cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in the Piglets. And to provide theoretical basis for the researches of important organ injury. Methods:16 healthy piglets, with an average age of (24.1±2.7) d, (6.5±0.5) kg by weight, used open chest cardiopulmonary bypass. 16 piglets were randomly divided into two groups , i.e. A group: deep hypothermic circulatory arrest (DHCA) for 60 minutes;B group:deep hypothermia low flow(DHLF) for 60 minutes, ECG monitoring and mixed venous blood gas analysis of arterial and invasive blood pressure were measured. Results: establish successfully 16 piglets model of cardiopulmonary bypass, lung function after CPB were successfully restored, arterial blood gas analysis were in the normal range, blood pressure was maintained at more than 50 mmHg. Conclusion:The animal model of open chest deep hypothermia CPB can be established successfully in piglets with excellent survive. This model was a stable platform for the study of the pathophysiology of CPB and post-CPB brain dysfunctions.
