Dunhuang art, best known to the world as the classical murals in the Mogao Grottos, dates back more than 1,000 years. Many people tend to think Dunhuang art has little connection with their daily lives.However, Chang Shana, an artist and educator, does not agree with those people. Her vivid paintings of murals, landscapes and flowers havehelped people, the world over, admire the beauty of Dunhuang art. The artistic symbols of Dunhuang, as illustrated in Chang＇s works, are in full blossom.
